Actually, if you're copying files from a NTFS to FAT system it's extremely slow. However if you're copying from NTFS to NTFS it's extremely fast. Try it sometime with a flash drive.

my laptop has fat32 on it and every once in awhile like if the battery goes dead and it shuts off, then on reboot it will want to check the disk. Big PITA if you ask me, its a 10gig partition. I also tried using fat32 on my desktop for the pagefile partition and same thing. I dont see the point of using it.
