hervell Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Hi ! It’s been several times I tried to make a installation cd of XP SP2 with nLite.I well followed all the differents procedures until the launch of the ISO image creation of my project. When I launched that, it broke off abruptly without any error message nor warning.IN FACT, Nlite stopped WITHOUT any WARNING!!!!I reinstalled frameworks v2, nLite v1.4.1, then I began again and that always stops in the same way. Please help me to arrange it !!!!Hervé from France.
Ponch Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 -Do you start with original MS-XP files ?-How big is the nLite temp directory before "iso stage" ?-Do you have enough room on the partition to add the (700Meg ?) iso ?-Do you create the iso outside the nLite temporary directory ?-when nLite stops...it freezes ? looks like it's done ? exits ? Is that when you click on "Make ISO" ?
nuhi Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) hervell, also please check for a very long files, or maybe your path is already too long. For example put your files into the:d:\XPCDor something like that. Then check if your added folders and files have any very long filenames. Ponch Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 IN FACT, NLITE STOPS BEFORE THE STEP "MAKE ISO". IT DOESN'T FREEZE, JUST STOPS DURING THE STEP PREPARING THE BURNING TASKS.So what screen are you left with ?nLite normally stops at the screen with the "Make ISO" button. All the burning stuff comes on that screen or after, not before. You can check the size of the directory by a "right-click" and "Properties".... also please do not reply within the quotes, it's a bit disturbing.
