Outlook 2007 Search Not Functioning

Has anyone experienced a situation where after customizing Vista and installing the OS and installing Office 2007, the Office 2007 search box doesnt function at all?

I've tried leaving Windows Mail and Windows Search installed(service disabled) but still when I click on search the icon changes like it searched, but the results are still unfiltered.

My intent is to just use the normal search function, not the desktop search functionality (which works on a standard vista image).

I've searched, but didn't find anything like this.

Any ideas as to which portion is required here?

I am using vLite 1.1.7 but I saw a note in the changelog saying:

fix: Natural Language breaking Search

I created a new image which included Natural Language and the normal search is now working in Outlook 2007. So it looks like Natural Language is necessary for Outlook.

Is there a work around available to fix this without the need for a new install of Vista (Lite)? It seems the Desktop Search or Instant Search function is only as a download available for XP or Server 2003.
