I want to start out by saying that the concept of a slipstreamed and fully integrated installation CD for XP is brilliant.

My problem is that I havn't been able to achieve a good bootable CD yet. I am trying to make a copy of XP Pro with SP2 integrated that has useable raid drivers. After several failed attempts I finally had to resort to autostreamer for my slipstream/iso maker. Unfortunately autostreamer doesn't have the same functionality as n lite.

I have no problem navagating through and makeing the iso image, nor is burning the image problematic. The difficulty begins when I try to use the newly created CD. I boot to the disc and after several tries it will finally start to load windows. During the driver loading process I see that the newly integrated raid drivers are being loaded. Windows will sometimes let me format the Boot drive and even start loading the program, but always hangs somewhere in the loading process. The last time I tried it I was in the final phase of the process where the start up programs are being loaded.

I dont know exactly where I am going wrong but there has to be something missing. Maybe n lite dosn't like my sony dvd burner? I burn useing the slowest setting (8x)

This is extremely frustrating

Thanks for letting me vent and for providing this type of program for users like myself

Several tries? That doesn't sound digital :).

Did you set the Computer Type in the Unattended settings to some other than Automatic?

Also are those the latest sata/raid drivers you're using for your controller and make sure not to overclock anything, at least until you debug what's causing it.

It's most probably the Computer Type setting, if not then try the other ISO Engine when making ISO, "mkisofs", it's in the dropdown menu.

I am having similar issues as per my post here. I can get all the way through to making a CD and when I try the modified ISO or CD out, Windows will go through the set up process and then it just reboots it self and I get memory error messages and I have tried to set the memory as high as 1GB and as low as 128MB.

This is getting frustrating because I have tried various methods and one of them is just the drivers and no other mods. The unattended section is also properly filled in.

At this point, I have pretty much given up and will just resort to the old fashined way with all the crap installed.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for replying so quickly nuhi, I left the computer type to the default setting (automatic?). Probably should have tried to use the other iso engine. I will try that next time. My guess is that for whatever reason my problems were caused by the default one. Thanks again for your help.

Both of you attach your presets after you give up.

Btw this can only be badly integrated hotfixes or update pack (usually IE7 order) or something like nforce sata/raid driver.

Not removals. Well you could try keeping the SCSI drivers but that's all.
