protell Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 my problem: i am trying to share folders on my wifes computer and connect to it with my laptop and vise versa. but i am unsuccessful...i have a linksys WRT54G wireless router with 3 computers that i connect to it:1. my desktop computer (connected directly to router)2. my laptop computer (wireless)3. my wife's desktop computer (wireless)i have file and print sharing turned on, on all 3 computers, i have my firewall turned off on all 3 computers, and i have some folders shared on all 3 computers.on my desktop computer i can see the shared folders on all 3 computers, but my laptop and wife's computer can only see the desktop shared items, not each other.i can ping all 3 from the desktop computer, but my laptop and wifes desktop can't ping each other.any suggestions???
cluberti Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 If you run the command "net view \\computername" from each machine against the two others, do any of the machines have problems enumerating the shares on another machine from this command?
