domyrat Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 (edited) What topic says, i integrated my nforce2 nvidia ethernet driver with nlite. In .iso file there is a dir /NLDRV/001/ and there are files NVCOE.DL_, NVENET.SY_, OEM4.IN_. When i install windows driver isn't installed, why? I can include my .ini files if needed. domyrat Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 hm, should i say i read forum and didn't find a solution, please, this is important to me.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Ok first off just how sure are you these are the right drivers? Also without the .cat the are non-signed drivers meaning windows won't automatically use them unless you have stated to ignore the driver sgning policy in your winnt.sif.Look for signed drivers that go with your device.or post an actual name and model here so we can help you look.

I got few directories and i think this is right one for that ethernet driver:\nForce_5.10_WinXP2K_WHQL_international\Ethernet\PreNRM\WinXPThis is screenshot of the files inside that dir:http://www.speedyshare.com/154952316.htmlhere is a part from my winnt.sif[unattended]UnattendMode=DefaultHideUnattendSwitch="Yes"OemPreinstall="Yes"OemSkipEula="Yes"FileSystem=*WaitForReboot="No"NoWaitAfterTextMode=1NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1DriverSigningPolicy=IgnoreNonDriverSigningPolicy=IgnoreThat ethernet card is integrated on my nforce 2 motherboard and i it says "Nvidia nforce networking controller"
domyrat Posted January 10, 2008 Author Posted January 10, 2008 That dir looks right.so what's the problem then?here i attached my .inf filesBADGERLITE06122007.INIBADGERLITE06122007_U.INI
domyrat Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 does it make any difference if i installed that win with integrated driver on virtual machine, not real computer.
omeneghe Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Yes it make difference, because also the hardware is virtualized on virtual machine, the guest operating system can't access the hardware directly. The nvidia ethernet driver is for real computer, real ethernet card.
linuxmagnate Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I can confirm that I successfully integrated the nvidia nForce2 drivers into my nLite iso, and when I installed from it the nvidia ethernet interface was working fine. I used the all-in-one nForce2 driver set though (audio, SMBus etc. etc.), version 1.16, not the standalone ethernet driver. CC
