Can't "create image" for ISO

First I had a heck of time having Nero search my C drive for the windows installation files. ( I do not have the windows XP disc, it came preinstalled on my Dell laptop) I had to go into safe mode and restore ownership of some files so it could search without freezing up.

I take care of that problem, select the options I want ( Drivers, and create ISO) and when I click for it to Create Image, it says... Status:preparing, followed by Status: preparing 0.32/0.32 where it then seems to hang up indefinitely.

Any clues? This is on a windows XP home edition, Microsoft 2.0 Framework.

I've searched the forums and google, no one is having the same problem I have. What gives?

Copy/Paste those files in a new directory where you know you have full access.

Thats not the problem, I fixed that issue. Now when I'm trying to Create Image on the cd, it doesn't get past the Status:Preparing stage.
