I need some help w/ firefox mozilla. I installed Hide IP Platinum yesterday, checked how it worked, went on a fiew sites w/ firefox, and then i decided it was making my internet too slow, so i uninstalled it. Then I tuned off my pc and i turned on my pc today, and tried starting firefox, but i get this message in another language: Enter username and password for internet proxy: "Internet Hozzaferest vezelo proxy-catching web szerver". And there ar places to enter ur password and username, but i dont have any password or username. I can still go online w/ explorer, but i like firefox better, so could u guys give me any suggestions on what to do to make firefox work again?

You uninstalled it while is was still running, therefore fox thinks it's stiill in the foriegn country. Don't know where in the fox it's located but turn off the " Enable proxy server" and reboot

For Firefox 2.x.x.x open Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings>Choose either "Direct connection to the Internet" or "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network".

If Hide IP Platinum seems slow try "Java Anonymous Proxy" (search Google for JAP, its free) but that is also slow as hell.

Easiest thing is just don't hide your IP address in the first place
