TimHi Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 (edited) Hi,I just downloaded this and it is looking great. I was able to load a simple program from the %systemdrive% easy enough...But I wasn't able to find anywhere how to go about configuring it to load programs on another CD.I am using a batch file now that switches the CD to install Office, then switches to a 3rd CD to install all other programs. Can I set it that WPI loads from the 3rd CD to install the apps? (I don't really need it on the first 2 - XP and Office are kind of required). I see that it loads from cmdlines.txt, so how do I make this work?An alternative would be to go ahead and load it from CD1, but then how would WPI know when to load an app that was located on CD 3?Thanks in advance, I know this program will be great once I figure it out!Tim Edited December 27, 2007 by TimHi
Kelsenellenelvian Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 OK if you download the "Tools" archive http://www.wpiw.org/downloads/Tools.rarContents:WPI Config ListerCDSwitch3 Custom themes for CDSwitchautorun.inf <-- Updated and fixedwpi.ico New icon thanks to WolfX2TaskKillS.exe from sadicqTaskKillS InstructionsCleanup.exe (Deletes ALL icons from the desktop)Reboot.exe (Dialog box that will reboot in 60 sec unless cancel is pressed)CDSwitch is built just for that kinda thing. You simply have it ask for the next cd say for your office cd on commandline1, then have your office istall on commandline2 aaaand then have your commandline3 be the call for the original disk or the net disk.
TimHi Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 Aye I just found the post that explains how to use the CDSwitch and organize the apps with the priority function. Looks like you thought of everything. Thanks for the help!Cheers.
