trebor78 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I have written several documents in Word from the Office 1997 Suite. I have burned these documents to a CD which I plan to mail to people who are interested in the subject I have written about. In testing the CD on my own computer I find that I have to go to RUN and then type D:/ to make the files visible on my monitor. How can I make this CD open automatically after it is placed in the D drive?Thank you very much for any help.
nitroshift Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Just include the attached file in your CD.Autorun.inf
nmX.Memnoch Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 If you want to make it professional looking you can get something that will allow you to create an autorun application. I use Autorun MAX! 2.0. It's pretty easy to use and you can create some nice looking menus with it.Short of that you could just create a basic HTML file that would autorun from the CD. The downside to using an HTML file is that the user will be prompted to Save or Open the file instead of it just opening.
nitroshift Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 trebor78, attached is the file that will run regardless of the drive letter. Enjoy! Autorun.inf
