marauder16 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) I used the V-lite program (only left the ultimate x version, added some drivers and so on...), saved everything, burned all those files that were left on a DVD, tried to boot from it, but when it says 'Boot from CD:' it just does nothing and goes to HDD, like there was no DVD in the DVD-ROM...here are the contents of the DVD, maybe you can tell me what am I missing that's needed to boot from it:please help if you know what's wrong, thnx EDIT: didn't make an ISO out of it, think that's the problem, will burn a new one and see Edited December 9, 2007 by marauder16
nuhi Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 It's the ISO creation issue when it rarely doesn't work for someone or the media was burned too fast.Use RW media so that you can test few times without any loss.Try MS tool, oscdimg to create ISO, then you can burn it with vLite.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_...img&spell=1
marauder16 Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) didn't even make an ISO last time (check my edit) sorry about that, but thnx for your replyEDIT: wow nuhi, sad sam tek skuzio da si iz HR, nisam znao da ima ljudi iz Hrvatske na ovom projetku, svaka cast na ovome i tebi i tvojim partnerima/suradnicima Edited December 9, 2007 by marauder16
nuhi Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 If you used Direct Burn it's the same as making ISO and burning it, just more convenient. If you burned just files with Nero or something then it will not be bootable.Anyway if it's the first one then try that oscdimg.heh da to se cesto desi, ja sam ti jedini na ovom projektu, ako ne kontas ogromnu pomoc koju dobijem od svukud prilikom testiranja ili trazenja bugova.
marauder16 Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) yeah, I used just nero, I'll make an iso and then burn it.thnx for your help jedini, pa lijepo, al pomoc je uvijek bitna, uglavnom, hvala na ovom programu puno pomaze, pozz Edited December 10, 2007 by marauder16
marauder16 Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 (edited) I managed to install vista, got some weird error upon first boot, 'no cd sth', but it seems that that's ok, installed almost all programs, and it works great BUT the shut down/turn off button doesn't work, it just turns off my monitor instantly, and PC enters some kind of weird stand by, it seems to turn off the HDDs but that's it, the front HDD activity LED starts blinking and it stays there, have to push reset button to revive it again? anyone know if this is connected to v-lite, thnx EDIT: solved, google is your friend, just had to reinstall chipset drivers, this error is almost always caused by drivers, or absence of any Edited December 11, 2007 by marauder16
nuhi Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Yeah standard ACPI issue, not related to vLite but I'm glad you found the solution.
