Arie Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 If you would have read the nLite FAQ, you would have seen that removed components cannot be restored. In other words, you'll need to create a new disc which does not have this component removed.
Extravert Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) If you would have read the nLite FAQ, you would have seen that removed components cannot be restored. In other words, you'll need to create a new disc which does not have this component removed.Or what you can do is the following optionsTake an in-place upgrade from Windows. Windows XP does his rebuild job very well. That means that you put in de CD/DVD and boot from it (the original one!). Then choose to do a repair of the whole system.Nu custom settings may be lost. The only thing setup does is replacing the correct registry keys on its place and replace systemfiles with the one on DVD. Do a MS upgrade afterwards!Go again with Nlite and make a more secure dicission of items you remove. Some elements you just barely needs.I've a Nlited X64 too and it works like a charm! The only mistake a made was to activate X-mouse so I've to download TweakUI to corect it. So far I missing nothing on Windows X64.I will help you so I set here a list online wich Nlite stripped for me. With this combination no hazzles will occur.Components removed in my setup:Special the language layouts consumes much space on the ISO. Burn the ISO with the free Imageburn software wich works flawlessy.Take in your account to doing this job and good luckDo you know: It's a hobby and hobby takes some time. The reward is noticable.Sorry for my English, but I'm a Dutch guy. Is it readable?PS: Just the perfect time to upgrade and slipstream all newest drivers needed for your system.
