Works OK when running wpi.hta

Hi All,

This is an awesome place for great apps and info. I have been using WPI for about 6 months now, and I want to check out my work with a virtual machine and an .iso file. I used Nero 6 Ultra to create my .iso file. I removed all the installable programs but one to speed up the image creation process. I also added an autorun.inf file to automatically launch WPI upon insertion of the CD.

When I double click Autorun.inf in the root of the WPI directory, WPI opens and all is well. But after creating the image file and capturing it in my virtual machine, WPI opens, but the only things available are the Begin Install, Selections, and Exit buttons, and the Selections dropdown box. There are no other interface elements present.

The configuration files are all there. I checked each folder under the WPI folder, and the only 2 that are different from my virtual machine and the bigger setup that I have been compiling are the Install folder, with all the programs in it, and the WPI Scripts folder, which has my custom configuration file, along with all of the other configuration files required.

I just can't figure it out!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Hi Kelsenellenelvian,

I named it config001.js. I have used this method before with no problems. I think that the screen resolution of my VM was set wrong, and I couldn't get to the checkboxes for selecting what to install.

It seems to be OK now. Must be a brain fart or something!

Anyway, thanks for the quick response.

Mike
