Kelsenellenelvian
ok you either a: removed the theme service with nLiteorb: turned it off with nliteEither way type services.msc into your run box and look for a service called "Themes" if it is there then you can start it and change it to start automatically. If not well then you'll hafta make a new disk and pay a litlle closer attention. jmbattle
It should be possible to reactivate/repair the Themes service by extracting shsvcs.dll from your original XP CD, to the \system32\ folder, then registering it (regsvr32.exe [filename]).Upon restarting windows, the Themes service should be running.Cheers,Jamesx
