Tityus Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 (edited) Hi,I'm trying nLite for the first time and I may have found a problem with the passwords in the "unnatended tab".My usual password has the character "*" in it, but nLite didn't accept it.Is this a limitation of nLite (reserving the * charracter)?A bug?Are there other restrictions?I've chosen one not comprising a "*" , finished the disk without problems. (Great app., BTW) Since I didn't find similar question in the forum, I decided to start a new topic.thanks Edited November 23, 2007 by Tityus
newsposter Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 '*' is reserved by a lot of programs for a global widecard so it's a VERY BAD idea to use it (as well as '?') in passwords.
Tityus Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 yeap, newsposter, I agree. Making a "not so unusual" password may be a good idea. Nice tip.One is able to bypass this "unusual password" issue directly editing the session .ini. However I'm still curious if this bug is already being tackled and if there are other known character limitations...Does anyone know if:1) are the developers already aware of this bug?2) are there other problems involving character limitation detected?thanks
