November 21, 200718 yr Hello everybody!!I''ll keep this short:I deleted my D: Partition (30 GB)and now I cant get it back... (see screenshot)Does anyone else know how to solve it??Thank you!
November 21, 200718 yr Do you have a drive overlay? If you've used 3rd party disk software you probably have, such as maxblast. What happens if you use diskpart to create the partition? Have you used linux? It's something in the MBR or maybe a MBR virus causing the issue, i suspect a drive overlay.-gosh
November 21, 200718 yr Author Nope, no third party softwares,I deleted my partition with vista setup.. hmmIm going to try to make a new one with partition magic...edit:I solved my problem, I used my XP disk to make this new partition. The XP disk never let me down Thanks for helping anyway!! November 22, 200718 yr Just for the record, Your D: was a Logical Drive in an extended partition...not a partition. So if you were trying to create a standard partition inside of an extended partition...that's not supposed to work
February 14, 200818 yr for anyone else that comes across this, testdisk can do a 100% recovery in about 10 seconds if you do this..as long as you don't write any more to the drive
