sid169 Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 ok i only edited shell 32, explorer, and ntkrnlmp, oh and i added a theme that is all i did. i created an iso with nlite and when i install it on ms virtual pc 07 it freezes at 35 minutes to go when it is installing devices.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Did you ModifyPE your ntkrnllmp.exe and all the other files that you modified? Is your shell32.dll bigger than 10 megs when decompressed?OS language?Maybe upload your files for one of us to try?
sid169 Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 why does shell32 have to be smaller then 10 megs cause mine is 18 lol and i modifyPE all my files that i edited and no errors
NaDer_GenKO Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Hi Kel,That is the first time i know a bout the 10 megs as a Max size per file.Really can this Hang up the Installation ?can you Explain more Please
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Something with user32 errors and asian langs also was causing install hangups. A search in the XPize forum section can give you more info.It was only with the shell32.dll and its overall compressed size.
sid169 Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 one of my friends made an unattended xp and the shell32 file is 22 megs and it works fine i have no idea what is wrong would it be something in my winnt file?
