Install Windows XP Factory Mode with Winpe2.0

Featured Replies

Hi,

i need some help with a project that I've been working on for a while now. I'm trying to use WinPE 2.0 to install Windows XP. In my old setup I was using network share with different configuration sets for XP Pro, Home, MCE. I was booting form a WinPE CD and unattended setup with Sysprep. The most important thing was to install the OS and have t start in the Factory mode.

Now I'm using WinPE 2.0 on a USB Thumb drive and i was able to install XP Pro unattended but I can't figure out how to install it so it starts in the factory mode.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Could you use a reghack for HKLM\System\Setup at the 13 min mark? I assume sysprep -factory adds a registry key here.

-gosh
