New to the forum but I've been looking around trying to get my answer file tweaked the way I want it.

2 problems:

1) I would like it to not ask me what partition to install on.... just delete the C: partition / format NTFS Quick / and use that

2) Skip the Welcome to XP...next..next...next screen

Any thoughts would be appreciated:

Here is my winni.sif file:

First of all, remove your product key from your posting!

Add the following to your WINNT.SIF

[Data]
AutoPartition = 1
MsDosInitiated = 0
UnattendedInstall = Yes

[Unattended]
UnattendMode = FullUnattended
OemSkipEula = Yes
OemPreinstall = No
Repartition = Yes
UnattendSwitch = Yes

Also, replace the entry ProductID with ProductKey.

Hope this helped.

Be care****.

AutoPartition = 1

will delete all the partitions on the first drive

and create one large partition to install windows on.

Arie / Jbm...thanks for the input...that did what I needed it to do

One last problem...the install says it can't find PLUGIN.OCX....so, as difficult as is it :wacko: , I have to press escape once. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks again

Did you do anything extra?

nLite, RyanVM, DriverPacks?

Did you use questionable media? Questionable is a broad definition, I use junky Staples brand Playo discs and they work just fine, so it generally won't make a difference, but, I have had random DVDs in the bunch give me errors.

I'd try using the ISO and run a virtual machine & see if it works on there.
