Vio1
i used nlite to remove unwanted stuff, and add in extras, and when i went to install it loaded everything up (blue screen), restarted and then gave me an error that it could not find the bootmgr. Tried this twice and still didnt work. I have 3 harddrives: 2 hdd in raid, and a storage drive. The 2 hdd in raid are partitioned (first partition is vista, second was supposed to be xp). I think the problem is that the bootloader is in the xp partition, but the bios is looking in the vista partition. How can i solve this?
anonymous_user
Install XP first, then Vista.
unbekannt15
First try to boot from your Vista DVD and select on the "Install Now"-Screen the repair options on the bottom (I don't know the excact title). There should open a new window and on the first position should be an option to repair the boot-progress. Try this.If this don't work, try this. You need a partition manager example Norton or Paragon and set your XP partition inactive and the Vista partition active.Maybe you need a boot-CD (example build it with Winbuilder and Vistape).Thats it. Now you can boot vista. Now you have to add Xp to bootmgr. Use Vistabootpro to do this.I hope I could help.
