Microsoft has released the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool to help remove specific, prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000.

I think it's a good Malicious Software Removal Tool .But it only assist a ruler in anti-virus product,if you want to protect your computer, you should use an anti-virus product.

In my experience, Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool is ill equipped to remove real world spyware.

Malicious Software Removal Tool is kinda like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I recommend using Hijackthis!, Icesword, Process Explorer, Rootkit revealer, RKunhooker, CCleaner, Smit*Fix, etc. They arent nearly as pretty (in fact some are downright ugly) but they can do the job faster and better than any of the MS tools.
