Guillaume Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Any way to get WMLite working when all WMP components are removed?I tried (without success):- WMlite10 / WMLite11 @ ksphere.free.fr- WMLite 2.4.0 @ free-codecs.com- Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin (Port 25)Guillermo_2_.ini
Guillaume Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Hmm, should be possible, as a full install of WMP does work...
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I am very willing to bet that since you removed both:Windows Media PlayerWindows Media Player 6.4That it wont work it most likely assumes or needs some remnants of WMP to work.My ony suggestion would be to build it again and keep 6.4 or try WMP classic or VLP.
anonymous_user Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I remove WMP and WMP 6.4 and WMLite 2.4.0 works fine for me.
boooggy Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 wmplite from ksphere.free.fr works fine after u remove wmp completly with nlite.
Guillaume Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 That's quite odd. What I encountered when installing either of the WMLite packs mentioned above:- In IE6 I get a blank object- In Firefox (latest) I get an error message that the codec could not be found- In Opera (9.50Alpha), the object 'crashes'After installing WMP11 and using the np-mswmp.dll, it works, (npdsplay.dll doesn't). In IE, it still doesn't work...
