lalitdabas99 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) Hi Can any one solve this error with wpi. WPI is otherwise working very well. When the timer finishes an error that log file "rb_config.js" was not created or written on harddrive. Here wpi continues only when we click "ok" of the message box. Is it a compulsory message box or it can be removed. Please help me know how to avoid this message and continue installation without any input. Note that I haven't used switch related with reboot with any of my applications. Also none of them needs reboot for installation.thanks in advance.I had attatched a picture related with the error. Please have a look. You can reply me on lalitdabas@gmail.com Edited November 11, 2007 by lalitdabas99
zorphnog Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 What kind of drive is D:? Do you have write permissions to it?
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 We are not in the habit of emailing solutions, sorry you'll hafta stick around in the forum. Also is this XP MCE or XP PRO, Win FLP??
lalitdabas99 Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) I have full write permissions for "D" drive. Similiar case is with "C:" drive for which I tried to install XP media centre in "D:". I have updated XP media centre with post SP2 updates with "nlite". The "C:" drive I used was primary partition where as "D:" was a logical partition of 15gb each formatted with "ntfs" Edited November 16, 2007 by lalitdabas99
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Are you saying you have a partial os on one drive or 2 os'es installed?Your error has to be due to the fact that both partitions have active bits of windows in them. The best bet in your case is a total reformat...
lalitdabas99 Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 (edited) Yes I have dual boot oses but the fact is that I have also tried with completely reformated new hard drive with fresh partitions. I don't have partial os. Can't anyone solve this problem. Also I want to THANK you for ur advice. Edited November 21, 2007 by lalitdabas99
