clonesauce
Hello... I've been trying to type foreign characters with alt codes but somehow they don't show up as what they're supposed to be (eg. the D with the dash appears as "P"instead)... Anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks. Edited November 9, 2007 by clonesauce
Arie
To what language is your keyboard set? US-International, US, et cetera? Try changing to another language; if you're on US, switch to US-International and try again. Also, try using your other ALT key. Don't know if this is of any help at all, but hey, it's worth the shot
clonesauce
It was on US English then I've changed it to US International, I've tried the other Alt key but it still doesn't work.(Thanks btw for your suggestions)Edit: Found out not only foreign alt characters but normal alt characters as well (like Alt 1414, doesn't work) Edited November 9, 2007 by clonesauce
Yzöwl
Are you trying to type ÐWhatever you are typing into is using a particular code/character set. What is Alt-1414 supposed to represent for you, it comes out on my system as â - 1252 — West European Latin, but it depends upon your particular font/character set, locale/codepage.
