djtoodles Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I am looking to install XP on a older laptop as well as an Eee PC once i order one. However I am looking to run the barebones xp. I want 0 bloatware and if it doesnt need to be installed i do not want it to be installed. Looking at the nlite site it seems to be a bit confusing with so many options.I would like the most basic of XP i need.IE not to be installed however Firefox insteadWMP to be taken from install (likely to be replaced with winamp + VLC)Option to change the theme via the uxtheme hack.other then that i just want the least amount of things to get the OS running without a hitch. I dont care about any system restore or anything either.
Arie Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Thank you for informing us of what you want. Now, what is your question? For starters, read "Complete Beginners Guide to nLite Unattended CD's" and "What Not To Remove For Some Programs". This should get you on your way.
