Networking LINUX

ok, for all you guys who have used vm ware workstation you would know while setting up a nex account for and OS there will be a networking setting. Here is my problem, i created and account for xp and vista using the NAT settin and everything worked good, using my pc as the host. but when i installed linus ubuntu 7.04 it didint work . so can any of you guys give me an idea of how i can make the NAT conection work on linux just as xp works from my pc

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you simply trying to get networking to work, or are you doing something more specific (like guest/host file sharing)?
