Lenny
I'm in the process of deciding what version of Vista 64 to use. The ultimate version seems to be the one that keeps coming up all over the internet whenever vista is discussed, however I intend to use vlite try getting it as light as possible. So I'm wondering if Home Basic 64 is supported in Vlite, if anyone else around here is using it, and if there is any "Hidden" essentials missing from that version. I use my PC mostly for games, internet and some media, I won't be using over 8gb ram and I certainly won't be using aero. What I'm interested in from Vista is 64-bit technology, DX10 and taking advantage of the 4gb ram I currently have.Seems pointless to buy lots of extra bloat and then kill it away I hope someone can give me some feedback.Lenny Edited November 1, 2007 by Lenny
arctirus
Home basic lacks aero, media center and remote desktop. Those are the only main things anyway. If you don't need any of those then go for it. Also, vnc is a decent substitute for remote desktop. It's not as fast but it's effective nonetheless.
