is there any way to get U3 to run on Win98SE? i have a Memorex MiniTravelDrive 512MB. :D


I don't believe it can be run. THere are several unresolved dependencies in the U3 Software:

SetupAPI.dll

CM_Get_Sibling

CM_Get_Child

CM_Get_Parent

CM_Get_DevNode_Registry_PropertyW

CM_Locate_DevNodeW

Kernel32.dll

Process32FirstW

Process32NextW

*PsAPI.dll

( Missing File )

* = 'MIGHT' be doable with the dummy psapi.dll but might not work.

edit in: DO note however that the U3 Software is in no way required to use the thumbdrive at all. Using one with the U3 system built-in as my laptops C: drive (even though it doesnt natively support it through the bios). Got tired of replacing its' hard disk on a near yearly basis... *shrugs*. >.>
