My friend gave me a desktop with Windows 98 on it, and it had a networking account on it I never used. It popped up before Windows loaded fully, and I could easily click "cancel", and Windows would continue with startup. Recently, I upgraded to Windows 2000 Professional, and therein lies my problem. Now I need a password to login to Windows, and neither my friend or I know the password, so, no Windows for me. I have a Windows 2000 install disk, but when I put it in, the computer ignores it. I don't know of a way to access it. Is there any other way I can login to Windows? This is a secondary computer, so I wouldn't mind using MS-DOS to format the hard disk and reinstall windows with the CD I have. I have no experience with that, and I have no idea how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dont worry about messing things up. Usually you press F1, F10 or del to get into bios. If you look at the right things you should the boot order, set it to boot off cd first and HD second.
