computer turn on by itself!?

hey all.

this is an interesting case for me. I bought my first windows vista laptop a couple months ago. I usualy put the laptop in hibernate rather than turn off PC when im not using the laptop. a while later, the laptop turn on by itself, .. no one was touching it. i was sleeping. and after i log in, it said "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown"??? (no the hibernation did not stalled. i waited for the hibernation to turn off my computer). well this has happened a couple of times now. what the heck is going on??? and i get this message

Sorry, but your topic made me think of MAIN SCREEN TURN ON! now i have that stupid song stuck in my head.

Just a shot in the dark but id guess that your PC isn't entering hibernate correctly. I'd check the bios to see what your power options are set to. Normally id try updating chipset drivers but vista usually has good drivers already included or available through WU but you might try that anyways. You could also check to see if your manufacturer has a newer BIOS.

Normally id try updating chipset drivers but vista usually has good drivers already included or available through WU but you might try that anyways. You could also check to see if your manufacturer has a newer BIOS.

Or you can upload the minidump somewhere on the internet and come back with a link for us to download it and have a look.

It would have been nice to see !irp 84ebd7b8 and !devobj 856123d0, but !analyze -v did tell us that devobj 856123d0 is associated with bcmwl6.sys, which is likely the broadcom wireless NIC driver causing the problem (not surprised at all, either).
