eyeball Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Hi all, does anyone know of an extension for firefox that can remember a position on a webpage please? or bookmark my position on a webpage?many thanks
DigeratiPrime Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Firefox 2.X has a built in session store feature that saves open tabs and page positions when Firefox is closed so it can resume exactly where it left off the next time it is started. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features.htmlThere is also an extension which "extends" the functionality called TabMixPlus:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122http://tmp.garyr.net/
eyeball Posted October 26, 2007 Author Posted October 26, 2007 thanks for the reply, i guess session restore is the way to go on this one.the problem i had was i had a document saved as a .htm file and every now and again when i open it up i have to find where i was on it before i can continue.cheers
puntoMX Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 If you use Opera you can even lock the open tabs, I didn´t use the new Firefox so it could be there also .
weEvil Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 If you use Opera you can even lock the open tabs, I didn´t use the new Firefox so it could be there also .How is that?I never found that feature in 9.2
puntoMX Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Just right-click on the tab and you see that option in the list .
DigeratiPrime Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 If you use Opera you can even lock the open tabs, I didn´t use the new Firefox so it could be there also .It's not a standard feature in Firefox (2.0.0.8) but can be added with the TabMixPlus extension I mentioned above.
