I recently got a computer from my local Salvation Army and it had Win2k on it. I can't get in because they didnt give a password with it. :blink::wacko: is there any way i can decode the Admin password?


You can get to the admin password with ntpasswd. You can click the "bootdisk" button, and then download a floppy image which can be written to a floppy, or a boot CD image that you can burn to a CD.

It's not the prettiest out there, but it's (at least IMHO) the best and most reliable (aka won't hose your system).

I use SAMInside. It shows you users&pass on Win2k/XP/Win2k3. It can run from a Windows live CD. ;)
