yorkiea Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Dear ForumI have a problem in installing my BT voyager 220 router. Everything is connected correctly and half way through the BT instalatuion it tells me that I dont have an eternet conection available. The cable is in, the ethernet light in on on the Router, the network card was replaced for a new one yesterday, tested ethernet cable at work and it works. Spent 1 hr on the phone with a BT help line guy and he went through loads of DOS commands in CMD and when we went in to some config command to see the Ip address it shows as 0.0.0.0 and net mask 0.0.0.0 etc. we tried to release/ renew and all kinds of stuff. but all he could conclude was that my PC was stuffed and take it in to a shop.Note the pc was working on my work netrwork fine last week.If any one can shine some light on this issue, that would be greatYorkiea
Ponch Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'd reinstall the network card driver to get every setting reset to default. Also reset the router if it's not straight "out of the box".
