Little Problem with drivers integration

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I use vLite 1.1b on an Ultimate copy of Vista. I can integrate drivers without problem (rebuild mode) and see it on the bottom part of the vlite windows and in my install.wim in temp dir. But when i install vista nothing happens, no installation. All my drivers are WHQL like nVidia, Intel ICH9R ... I install in real condition, not a virtual machine. Any Idea?

Other Info : French MUI, Hotfix Slipstream too

Windows might just think that it's own drivers are better than the ones it integrates (as it chooses the best/most compatible), do you remove drivers in vLite?

MrTijo, what did you expect, for it to run setup.exe or something? It will just integrate the basic driver. I integrate Intel and Nvidia drivers, they work as expected. Check the versions in the device manager, also if you are unsure how to properly integrate then tell us how you do it.

Hi,

Thx for answer. I don't expect any setup ! i just want my drivers to be use.

I'll try to remove some of them with vlite to force vista to use mine.

If the ones which you are integrating are WHQL you don't have to remove anything.

If it repeats in the new version when it's out in the future let me know.

im having the same issue with drivers integration.

im trying vLite on a Toshiba Laptop so i can be sure everything works in the real world (tired of many VM runs).

I integrated Intel Chipset Installation Utility for 945GM chipset, Intel 945ABG WiFi, Realtek HD Audio (this isnt WHQL certified, so i expect this one wasnt installed by vista), Synaptics, Marvell Yukon ethernet and motorola modem.

none of these were installed by vista. i checked all versions on device manager to corroborate...

anyone having this issue or im missing something to get them running?

thanks in advance.

im not sure right now but i think i recall mounting install.wim and see the drivers were integrated but i don't know why they aren't being installed.
