evila Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I've been reading lots of guides and tutorials on the net and most of them haven't touch this part in details. I need some guide on preparing drivers for my universal image, I'm new to this so I really need some detailed information. Based on what I've read in the past days, this is what I believe I have to do:First gather all the drivers for all models of machines. Then for those extractable ones I'll extract them into seperate folders and then provide a path to contained inf files in sysprep.ini. And the for the those that are not extractable I'll make silent install. Is everyone here doing this the same way? Also, some totorials said all I have to include is the inf files for device drivers to install properly, and some just didn't say anything about it. I hope someone here could clear the cloud for me.
PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I know its not exactly what you asked but I highly recommend http://www.driverpacks.net/I use chipset, CPU, LAN and MassStorage on my CDs (no room for the rest) but ive made CDs with all of them in the past and its a HUGE timesaver.
evila Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 1. thanks for the reply, I have checked out the driver packs already, but I wonder what version of windows do the driver pack support?2. I'm not trying to make an unattend installation CD, I just want to make an universal image and deploy to systems on network so they'll be ready to go after reboot. Is your CD just the same thing as an image or a slipstreamed Windows CD???
