Hello

i've three pcs configured as following:

(1) DC server running win2003 DHCP/DNS/NAT with two NICs

(2) a member server running win 2003 connected to one of the NICs with IP 172.16.1.x

(3) a laptop running XP, but not a domain member with IP 10.0.0.x

The problem is pc number (2) can ping IP pc(3) successfully, but cannot ping NetBios so i cannot access the shared folders and printers on (3)

Meanwhile, the domain controller (1) can both ping IP and Net bios of (3), and can access the shared docs as well

So what is wrong with my configuration?!..whyh cant the pc(2) access pc(3)

Thanks

Does it look like this? Trying to wrap my mind around this:

Member -------- Domain Controller -------- XP box

172.16.0.x 10.0.0.x

yes that's correct, by the way the DC is connected to a switch that connects it to the 10.0.0.x member!

P.S: another DHCP server is providing the 10.0.0.x IPs

Hello,

Nope, u can't use ICS while routing and remote access server is activated, im using the NAT instead of the ICS but i think that the problem might be in the routing configuration, the strange thing is that the optopm tjat enables the NetBios routing is enabled!!!!!. However, i cannot ping the name of the other computer or access the shared folders!!
