  1. Hello, Thank you for replying. Yes i've done all theses steps ages ago, the problem is that it stopped because of no reason, even the GPO's stopped affecting other clients over the network, i think there's something wrong with this windows, i may replace it Thanks
  2. OK thank you, How can i create images with wim extention?!
  3. Hello, i had the same questioni before in the XP section i've discovered that the problem is in the server itself im trying to assist XP clients remotely (throught server 2003)l but when i type the address of the client pc and press connect a message appears to me saying" the access to that resource(s) has been disabled by your administrator", iam the installer of this server> I've tried this with different pcs, but i get the same result, i made sure that both "offer remote assistance" and "remote help service" are both activated, so what am i supposed to do now?! Thank you!
  4. Hello, do u want me to make sure that it's enabled or disabled?!...any way i disabled the remote assistance feature from the GPO then enabled it again, i even made sure that the remote help service is enabled, but i still have the same message, and im the **** administrator of this server, so why is it telling me that "your administrator has disabled bla bla bla"?!!!!! i may re install the server OS again
  5. Hello again, thanks to all of you fo replying me... it's a windows server 2003 domain, im trying to assist XP client, it worked smothely before, but now i don't know where the problem is!!!!!

  10. Hello, Nope, u can't use ICS while routing and remote access server is activated, im using the NAT instead of the ICS but i think that the problem might be in the routing configuration, the strange thing is that the optopm tjat enables the NetBios routing is enabled!!!!!. However, i cannot ping the name of the other computer or access the shared folders!!
  11. yes that's correct, by the way the DC is connected to a switch that connects it to the 10.0.0.x member! P.S: another DHCP server is providing the 10.0.0.x IPs
  12. Hello i've three pcs configured as following: (1) DC server running win2003 DHCP/DNS/NAT with two NICs (2) a member server running win 2003 connected to one of the NICs with IP 172.16.1.x (3) a laptop running XP, but not a domain member with IP 10.0.0.x The problem is pc number (2) can ping IP pc(3) successfully, but cannot ping NetBios so i cannot access the shared folders and printers on (3) Meanwhile, the domain controller (1) can both ping IP and Net bios of (3), and can access the shared docs as well So what is wrong with my configuration?!..whyh cant the pc(2) access pc(3) Thanks
  13. Hello, im not expert yet in networking configurations but the reason "might" be in the cable itself!!!, maybe.. just make sure that u are using a cable wired as a crossover! If your cable is wired properly so make sure that the subnet mask for the direct NIC configs are correct!
