Modded my shell32 but My Computer icon didn't change

Featured Replies

I only changed a few icons in my shell32.dll and everything worked perfectly except the My computer icon is still default. And it's not the icon cache because I cabbed it and replaced it on my XP install CD and installed a fresh copy in VM Ware.

I used Resource Tuner to edit resources 115-126, to be exact. I edited the other icons the exact same way. Everything works except that one.

Is there something I'm missing? Is the My Computer icon in any other .dlls or something?

Yes, there IS something you're missing, it's called explorer.exe. That's where the My Computer icon is. You'll see this file in your Windows folder.
