Berre_75 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Hey guys and girls,I'm having an issue with unattended install of Windows XP. Everything runs smoothly until it asks for the license key although it's added in my sif file. Whatever key i enter it will say it's invalid, however i know they are valid (really really legal valid). Now i must tell you i slipstreamed the new SP3 for XP, can that be related? Thanks,Bert
Kelsenellenelvian Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Yes it is related MS invalidated ALL previous keys for the beta of SP3 so for now unless you have the beta key you were given then you are outta luck.
MagicAndre1981 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Technet / MSDN Keys are still working without problems.for Retail Keys replace the pidgen.dll inside the i386 folder with the dll from the sp2.
gosh Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Does the SP2 come with documentation such as an updated ref.chm? If you extract the sp3 it should be in one of the folders such as Docs.-gosh
Tarun Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 If you have a legit key for the beta you would be able to install and run the SP3 beta. Since you are unable to by your own admission, you're stating that you did not get it from TechNet/MSDN and thus did not acquire it through legal means.[ Closed ]
