KAR Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) Hi all,After the Install of a Unattended install of XP I'm getting the message the nlite.inf is missing when opening the windows software list to add or remove windows software. When I expand the file from i386\NLITE.IN_ to c:\windows\system32\nlite.inf it works fine. Am I doing something wrong? I assume the files should have been copied during the install of my windows?ThanksROnald Edited October 2, 2007 by KAR
ricktendo Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I assume the files should have been copied during the install of my windows?Correct it should be copied to %WinDir%\system32\inf (hidden folder, you can get to it by typing INF in the Run... box)And yes if you delete it it breaks Add/Remove Windows Components, another fix would be to open sysoc.inf and delete this linenLite=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,nLite.inf,HIDE,7
KAR Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Hi ricktendo64,thanks for your reply. What happends if I remove the code line? meaning will my install be different??Thanks!KAR
