Thunderbolt 2864 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I'm currently running a Geforce 8800 GTS card and I've noticed that games set up to 1600x1200 resolution runs in a window (With bad results) or cannot run at all. I would like to run it in 1650x1050 but unfortunately some games don't have this resolution. I use to have an ATI card and it worked perfectly so it doesn't have anything to do with my monitor. I'm kinda annoyed with NVIDIA's endlessly poor driver support, is there a workaround for this?
weEvil Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 You're kidding right? You're trying to run 1600x1200 on a 22" LCD with native 1650x1050. Of course its going to window it.Also, about not having the resolution you want, you can make your own resolution. Look for .ini files. Usually called config.ini or something similar. Also, most games have consoles to tweak settings. Usually use the ~ key.Look up some tweak guides for the games in question. Here's a good start: http://www.tweakguides.com/
