kartten Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Well I ran into a problem installing xp - brought me to an error message saying it could not detect any hard drives. After googling around I found that xp does not support the sata drivers automatically. So I tried using Nlite and attatched the sata controller driver but I was having problems creating the cd with Nlite. My friend told me today that it could possible be the bios needs to be updated to support the sata drive. Is there any other way I can load the sata drivers? - my laptop does not have a floppy drive but I do have a flash drive with me.Where should I go from here?I will post the error I was receiving in Nlite in a few minutes. Thanks In Advance guys and gals.NLITE - ERROR-Access to the registry key'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\NliteTmepReg\ControlSett001\Se rvices\iaStor\Paramters\PnpInterface' is denied1689
michal_banszel Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 (edited) Well...I think you should integrate iaahci.inf because this is sata driver, iastor.inf is SATA RAID driver. I integrated iaahci.inf without any problems using nLite... Edited September 27, 2007 by michal_banszel
nuhi Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 No, the problem wasn't with the driver or nLite, it was the Dell Windows. But I managed to bypass the issue. Out in a 7-10 days.
michal_banszel Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The Dell Windows? So Dell has some different Windows? Anyway, kartten should integrate iaahci instead of iastor
nuhi Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 They always edit some stuff in their OEM version. Sometimes people couldn't slipstream service pack until it was cleaned out of the integrated stuff they put in.It doesn't matter which driver inf you select, the whole folder will be integrated.
