Yzöwl Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Up until a few days or so ago, when I viewed the site under guest status and found a topic in which to reply the following would happen:click on replyboard message box comes up with `log in or else you can't` type messageenter log in detailsreply page loads for typing intoNow what happens is:click on replyboard message box comes up with `log in or else you can't` type messageenter log in detailsgoes to board index pagenavigate back to the specific forum areanavigate back to specific topicclick on the reply buttonreply page loads for typing intoAs you can see, the extra steps are a complete pain in the proverbial. As a precaution I'd already removed all site cookies and cache, so I'm assuming it's something changed at your end.Could you please take a look and get it back to how it was, thank you.
tain Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Looks like we've enabled SEO URLs again, too. Might be related to that.
Yzöwl Posted September 24, 2007 Author Posted September 24, 2007 Sorry for the bump, but I feel that three days for any positive response is on this issue is sufficient for me to do so.As an update, (in an attempt to cover my a*** for the bumping), this issue remains on a brand new XP installation with a brand new Mozilla based browser.
xper Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Thats the way it is for now. Yes, SEO enabled again.
Yzöwl Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 xper, since you didn't mention my issue, (i.e. the subject of the thread), and today it appears to have worked as it used to; does that mean:It's been looked into and fixedIt's fixed itselfIt's an intermittent problem which is likely to flare up at any timeNone of the above, (please explain)
xper Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Thats the way it is for now. That was answer to your issue. As for your last question. No, I didn't touched anything. Must be something on your end.
Yzöwl Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 I spoke too soon, its not working again now...As I said it cannot have been my system, the problem was the same on a brand new installation with no added software. The browser I was using was a completely portable standalone one, (no settings can change)!I suppose I'll just have to live with it.
