Hey guys! long time no post!

Im wanting to upgrade my Graphics card, but will i require more wattage?

Current setup:

Asus A8N SLi Premium Board

Opteron 175 CPU 10% overclock

2GB Ballistixs Ram

X3 SATA Hard Drives

X2 Optical Drives

Audigy 2 Platium EX sound card

Floppy Drive

GeForce 8600GTS

X5 Cooling Fans

Cold Cathode Light

500WATT Modular PSU

So, Im wanting to get an XFX 8800GTS 320MB card to replace my 8600

I hear 500 watt will work, 600 recomended.

IF my current setup can support a 88gts without having to upgrade my PSU, bonus, but if i do HAVE to upgrade my PSU, then i will have to, just if i can save on not buying a new PSU, woudl be great, but i dotn wanna suffer from power loss.

Cheers guys :D

As usual, 500Watts doesn’t say any thing; it would help if you would give us the information on the side of the CPU, how many 12V lines and how much they can take each for example. ;)
