I have a Windows 2003 R2 server and vista and XP clients in a domain. I have a GPO for deploying the printers on the clients everything was working great till suddenly all the clients on the domain get this error when trying to print:

What could the problem be?

By default when you access a shared printer over the network, it'll silently download and install the printer drivers from the server as long as they are digitally signed.

I do not know vista, but this sounds like a policy issue, or for some reason the drivers are not showing up as digitally signed.

Any vista experts want to chim in?

Not only did it show on vista also on XP clients.

What error occurred on the XP clients? If it worked before but doesn't now, it sounds like someone perhaps modified the point-and-print policies in group policy...

The error was the same as in vista as shown in the picture and no, the policies weren't changed at all.
