  1. The error was the same as in vista as shown in the picture and no, the policies weren't changed at all.
  2. Thanks, Not only did it show on vista also on XP clients.
  3. I have a Windows 2003 R2 server and vista and XP clients in a domain. I have a GPO for deploying the printers on the clients everything was working great till suddenly all the clients on the domain get this error when trying to print: What could the problem be? Thanks
  4. Thanks fizban2, that helped a lot but i couldn't find any GP for defragmentation, is there one or is there some kind of script to use??
  5. okay, thanks... but does the local admin on the vista client have to be logged on for the defragmentation tool to work? About the vista gpo's, how do i set up the ADMX files on Windows 2003 server could you please point me in the right direction? I mean is there away i can see and use vista's Administrative templates from Windows server 2003??? Thanks
  6. Is there a GPO or script for Schedualing Disk Defragmentation for vista clients from Windows 2003 server?
  7. Does anyone know of a way to turn on Remote Desktop on all the domain computers... like a group policy or something???
  8. okay, thanks DysfunktinaL it worked fine, but how do i do that to all the computers on our network? Is there some kind of group policy or something else that might do it?
  9. I tried that but when i try to connect from the server i get the following error message : The client could not establish a connection with the remote computer. The most likely causes for this error are: 1)Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote computer. 2)The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the remote computer. 3) A network error occurred while establishing the connection. I tried to connect from a vista machine and i was successful!? Also if i have to enable remote desktop on all the clients is there away to enable them through GP or something like that?
  10. Mostly things are working out fine though i have a question about the print server is there away to replicate that onto the second domain controller or do i have to reinstall the printers onto it?
  11. I want to be able to connect remotely to our vista workstations from windows server 2003 via Remote Desktop. The workstations do not have remote desktop enabled. What's the correct way to do this?
  12. Thats what i did but it won't work unless the first server is working i want something to replace the first server momentarily till it's back up. Do i need to make the second domain controller a DNS server and print server as well???
  13. I have a server running as a domain controller and DNS, DHCP, Printer, File servers as well... Now i want to add a second domain controller to the same domain .. How do i do that so that if my first domain controller goes down it can take it's place till it's back up again?
