Harry Tuttle Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I can't get any of them to work properly I completely uninstalled media player (even 6.4) from xp pro with xplite and I can't stream media player content in opera with windows media lite 2.40 or wmlite10 2.1.0.3 at all... is it absolutely necessary to keep windows media player 6.4 to be able to do so?I'm able to stream with quicktime alternative 1.81 and qtlite 1.11, but they both crash if I access the options from my browser and they don't work at all to view apple's trailers...anybody uses those programs with no problems and can help me please? thanks!
puntoMX Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I remember that the older versions of nLite also wanted Media player 6.4 kept in for the reasons you give us here, so I would guess you have to keep that old small Media player in.If you are unknown to nLite look at the forum, I’m sure you like it better then XPlite, and yes, I have 2XPlite licenses my self but stopped using it after nLite .
DigeratiPrime Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I know Media Player Classic can be used with Firefox when WMP is not installed, it might also work for Opera.
Harry Tuttle Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 ^since when can media player classic stream movies in browsers? I got it installed but there's no plugins for it to my knowledge...I don't feel like reinstalling xp right now, is there a lot of advantages to use nlite instead of xplite? I like the fact that I can reinstall everything I remove with xplite though
