outlook 2007 no search function.

is it me or is there no find/Search for emails in your mailbox. Seems as if you have to install the instant search bit which installs windows desktop search 3.01. anyone else noticed this and an easy way round this buy not having to install the desktop search tool.?

It seems that the Desktop Search Tool messes up computers a bit so I’m not surprised its killing the search function in outlook or doesn’t let your computer shut down e.g. you have to kill a task manual. This is just side information; I don’t use Outlook nor the Desktop Search Tool.

Ive found the user settings in office customisation wizard to remove the instant search installation buttons etc.
