Lost Soul
hi guys this is a very strange issue ,im creating my latest disk and i have everything in it, the way i want it,, updates rvm mainly and a few others picked up in the rvm forums nothing muchwell the disk works fine up to this point when tested in vmware.now i need to make room for drivers so i need to slim the disk down, so heres where im getting the problemit seems no matter what i remove from the disk, upon testing the disk, i get this device installer error saying windows could not load the installer for battery.now the reason i said it seems no matter what i remove i get this error. is because of a few tests which go like thistest 1) removed langs, keyboards and docs , support and valueadd folders..result i get the same device errortest 2) left the above intact and just removed screen savers, movie maker, music samples, msn explorer, net meeting, outlook express, windows messenger.result, same as above device errornow i cant seem to figure out why im getting this error,, can any one tell me or have a ideal on why its happening..thanks.ls Edited August 20, 2007 by Lost Soul
Lost Soul
problem fixed,,the solution for me was to add these enteries to my unattended section in the winnt.sif fileDriverSigningPolicy = IgnoreNonDriverSigningPolicy = Ignore
nuhi
Ok but nlite puts those in the winnt.sif automatically, you probably used your own sif, I'm glad you solved it.
