August 17, 200719 yr Hi, I have a small problem:I have set the option "Password protected sharing" in sharing centre on my notebook (running Vista) off. Still when I want to access it from other computer in LAN (running XP), it asks me to enter username/password.I have tryed to restart both computers for case, there is some cache involved, but it didnt help.

August 17, 200719 yr Author Everyone is already listed.Very strange is, that Im able to access the notebook without password from another computer. But this one insist on putting username/password. I dont understand this.
August 17, 200719 yr I'm having a similar problem and I don't know whats up. I run Vista and the machine downstairs runs XP Pro. When I try and access the computer downstairs through "Network" on the start menu, it asks for a user name or password, and I have no idea why.
